POLICY ON CLASSIFICATION & STATUTORIA SERVICE QUALITY

Statement of policy on quality for Classification & Statutory Service is to secure that all technical services fulfil the company's objective and target, namely :

"Safety and reliability in ship construction and its operation to protect human being's, good's safety and pollution prevention at sea"

BKI Management ensure, that :

• Quality requirement is oriented to International quality standard according to ISO 9001:2000 and other International/National regulations relating to Classification & Statutory Service activities.
• Classification survey/certification service is made according to BKI Classification Rules and Statutory survey / certification service is made according to Statutory requirement and requirements of ship's flag state.
• Development of Rules and Regulation is made continuously and adjusted to the current technology.
• Responsive to the customer's or public's need & satisfaction in general, both individually or collectively, provided that the need does not breach nor contradict to BKI's rules or other standard/requirements recognized.
• All Surveyors are always provided with understanding about Surveyor Code of Conduct, Surveyor Behaviour at Field, the most modern shipping technology and quality system through continuous training as well as application of quality system in all organization ranges.
• Implementation of quality and continuous improvement are basic of all activities conducted by BKI and implemented by Surveyor/Technical Staff/Staff involved.
